MEDICAL ASSISTANT

Job Description:

  • Assist in the daily preparation of the clinical area.

  • Room patients of assigned provider.

  • Obtain patient’s height, weight and blood pressure and document in chart.

  • Create and/or update the provider’s progress note and patient medical history.

  • Accurately enter all lab requisitions for providers.

  • Accurately enter all biopsy requisitions for providers

  • Assist the provider as needed throughout the day

  • Clean/disinfect assigned rooms between each patient and at the end of the day.

  • Complete assigned side work scheduled each day.

  • Assist co-workers in any additional side work tasks every day.

  • Unpack and store supplies as needed.

  • Follow all office policies and procedures.

MEDICAL SECRETARY/ RECEPTIONIST

Job Description:

  • Ability to have comfortable and professional interactions with patients, co-workers, and providers.

  • Must possess the skills and ability to handle patients and other members of the public professionally

  • Must possess a high level of discretion to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information, adhering to HIPAA rules & regulations.

  • Must easily assist patients with scheduling in-office and telemedicine appointments.

  • Previous experience with EMR system helpful, including updating patient information, scheduling appointments, managing medical records, uploading patient photos and lab results, forwarding triages to the appropriate provider.

  • Previous experience with medication prior authorizations is helpful but can easily train.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Complete assigned side work scheduled each day.

  • Assist co-workers in any additional side work tasks every day.

  • Unpack and store supplies as needed.

  • Follow all office policies and procedures.
